Welcome to the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Small Enterprise Development (CESED) of the School of Business, University of Cape Coast (UCC), Cape Coast, Ghana. Driven by the core values of service, proactiveness, innovativeness and excellence, CESED pursues its mandate through collaboration with key stakeholders in and outside Ghana. The Centre works closely with departments and centres in UCC, local and international universities, the local community, industry, government agencies, non-governmental organisations and international partners such as the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, the Ghana Climate University Network and the MDF West Africa Limited.
The Centre offers academic programmes and short courses in entrepreneurship and enterprise development to address national and international manpower requirements as well as to promote employability and job creation among the youth and vulnerable groups including women and the physically-challenged. Our students and trainees have the rare opportunity to undergo practice-oriented training to meet the expectations of employers in dynamic work environments as well as start their own enterprises through support from the University of Cape Coast Business Incubator (UCCBI).
